Hundreds of horses from Delhi Race Course on newspaper from 2001

Hundreds of horses from Delhi race course on newspaper from 2001, when i started going to race courses to study horse anatomy. , This series is a tribute to Mr. M.F. Husain so called Picasso of India who died on 9th June 2011. Husain saab was very well known horse painter from India. People and media often asked me whether i am inspired by Husain saab or not and i always said, my horse comes from my own thoughts and studies. I always believed in studies and hard work..I studied horses for more than 8 years at race courses.

I remember the time when I used to sit at Delhi Race Course during sweaty and humid weather 44 – 45 degree temperature  hot summer of New Delhi, India. But when I see these drawings today that makes worth sitting under the sun light in month of June. These drawings have lot of emotions, reminds my college days and my struggle.

“Hussain saab once said in a television interview that there are few painters who studied horse anatomy and can paint it properly on canvas.”
“ I was very happy when very well known artist S.H. Raza saw my drawings during a show in Mumbai and said ‘you have a very bright future’ “

An article from DNA 'after hrs' published in September 2008. This was the first time i was so nervous by a journalist !

This article was published in Mumbai’s DNA ‘after hrs’ in 2008 during my show. DNA and Times of India are Mumbai’s best English daily. I have been giving interviews to media since 2001 but this was the first time I was so nervous by a journalist  because she had emailed a bunch of questions which we usually find when media talks to big names . But honestly saying, I had never talked such a nice journalist called ‘Ismat Tahseen’ from DNA.  We talked more than 30 mints I think, she asked so many questions related to my work and on other topics too but she only wrote whatever was needed. I talked to her after I saw this interview and said, thanks so much for writing about art only. She replied me back and says “it was really nice talking to you and to know an artist point of view but I didn’t want to create any controversy”. I appreciated it lot.

I honestly answered her each questions with giving examples of few ‘Bollywood actors’ like 'Shah rukh Khan' who imitates 'Amitabh Bachhan' and few more big names when she asked me ‘whether I am inspired by Mr.M.F.Hussain or not ! Which is not true, I studied horses at race courses for more than 8 years and then jumped to paint on Canvas.

My most favorite article ever without any typical spices ’masala’ by Indian media

This is my most favorite article ever because there is hardly any spices ’masala’ in it which usually added by Indian media. This was published in July 2006 during my 4th solo show by Gallery Art Positive, New Delhi, India,  in one of largest investment company’s magazine called “Investors India’.

"Angel Academy of Art in Florence, Italy. My dream come true after few years not to study anatomy but to a short visit"

Angel Academy of Art in Florence, Italy where i always wanted to go to study anatomy when i was in College of Art, New Delhi, India during 1998 - 2004. I was accepted by Angel Academy of Art  in 2003 to study anatomy  for long four years. I had also paid my first trimester fees Euro 2200 but could not go due to some reason but  my dream come true after few years not to study there but to a short visit to view on art and see Italian technique . I am sharing these wonderful drawings and paintings and pictures of studios, how do they work to create those art works like great Italian masters. This is very rare kind of art these days. There are very few who own this type of skill.  When i was roaming around in Florence i felt so close to my heart to all those places, art works by great masters, art museums and beautiful city. If you are an artist the best place for you is Europe. My favourite would be Paris and Florence.Everything is work of art in these cities. You don't need to force to get inspired, city inspire you.
